Coworking is just what it sounds like - interesting, independent professionals getting together to work. It's better than working alone because you don't lose touch with people and you can exchange ideas with other people doing similar work.
A lot of cities have coworking locations, like Xindanwei in Shanghai, but so far Beijing is not so lucky. I'm interested in setting one up because I'm working on a startup remotely with some partners in Boston and am tired of working in my apartment every day. I've used coworking spaces in other cities and always enjoyed the experience.
Before I can set one up our own location, however, a group of us have decided to get together regularly to work in various places around Beijing. If you'd like to join us, please sign up for this list. It will be fairly high volume (at least once per week), so if you're only interested in big updates on the Beijing Coworking project, you can also sign up for my Beijing Coworking Important Updates list here.
